CMM-Ve Video Probe

Adding Vision Inspection to your CMM CMM-Ve is a CCD camera-based video probe for use on a CMM. The integral segmented LED illumination and the 2D light sensitive CCD allows an area of the measured component to be illuminated and viewed. Software control of the variable intensity illumination allows the user to optimize the image for each measurement. The whole Field of View (FOV) of 6mm x 5.0mm or specific Regions of Interest (ROI) within the FOV can be used to select one or more features for measurement (e.g. Hole Diameters, Edge Positions). The CMM-V is TESASTAR-M motorized head and change rack compatible, as well as Renishaw auto-joint compatible for the Renishaw PH10 head and ACR-3 storage racks so your CMM can run automatically with application programs in which both contact and non-contact sensing are employed. Motorized positioning of the CMM-Ve with a head such as the 2,952 position TESASTAR-M allows for flexibility in positioning the camera normal to the surface of the part from nearly any location, something that would require a tilt-rotary stage on a traditional type of vision machine. Using a vision probe is ideal for parts that have some features that benefit from vision inspection, but also has a substantial amount of features that require tactile probing. PC-DMIS Vision software allows CAD based programming of both vision and tactile sensors for seamless interchange between vision and tacticle sensor types, so you can employ multiple inspection techniques in a single part program.
